Personal development training courses

Path National schedules a training programme each year, with numerous professional and personal development courses. Trainees and Management Development Students are entitled to attend 10 Path training courses per year, free of charge, for the duration and sixth months after the end of the traineeship or management development course.

The training courses are designed to equip students and trainees with the personal and professional skills necessary to empower them to effectively carry out their jobs. The courses cover a range of specialist areas such as:

  • ICT Skills
  • Planning Law and Practices
  • Housing
  • Personal Development e.g. Interviewing Skills, Public Speaking, Leadership Skills and Career Management.

Course Booking Procedure

Please note, confirmation that you are booked on a course will be sent one month prior to the course date, i.e. confirmation for September courses will be sent in August.

  • If you do not receive confirmation via email, it means that you are not booked on a course.
  • If you feel that you should be booked onto a course but have not received an email, please inform the Recruitment and Training Team Administrator as soon as possible.
  • If you do not reply to a course confirmation email, it will be assumed that you will not be attending and your name will be removed from the list.

In the above cases, DO NOT just turn up on the day, as you will not be permitted to attend the training session and your supervisor will be notified.

For those traveling from inside the Greater London area, your travel expenses will not be reimbursed. NB: Path National does not provide lunch on training days or reimburse lunch expenses.

BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Please note that any non-attendance without prior notification, in writing (letter or email), of at least 7 full working days will incur a penalty of £30.00 for the day plus VAT. This will be deducted from your monthly training allowance (trainees) or invoiced (students).

Please note - late arrivals (after 10am) will not be admitted to the course. Your placement provider/employer will be notified.

PATH National reserves the right to cancel training courses at anytime without any liability. In such instances we will endeavour to re-schedule the courses for another date.

PLEASE NOTE: Trainees/Students are permitted to attend up to ten training courses per year.

Please ensure you have read and fully understood the booking and cancellation policies/procedures before booking a place on any training courses.
